How much does a dental implant cost in Jamaica?
Published Jamaican clinic prices put a single implant with crown at roughly J$250,000–J$500,000. Here's what drives the price, and how people actually pay for it.
It's one of the most-searched dental questions in Jamaica, and most clinics answer it with "call us." Fair enough, no dentist can price an implant without seeing your mouth, but you deserve a straight starting point before you pick up the phone.
The honest numbers
Published Jamaican clinic price lists put a single dental implant, including the crown that goes on top, at roughly J$250,000 to J$500,000. If your jawbone has shrunk where the tooth has been missing, common when a gap has been there for years, bone grafting to rebuild it typically adds J$40,000 to J$150,000 and a few months of healing time. Dental-tourism guides quote the implant itself at around US$1,500 to US$3,500, which is roughly half of what the same work commonly costs in the United States, one reason visitors and returning residents plan treatment around trips home.
What moves the price
Four things, mainly: how many implants you need; the condition of your jawbone (grafting adds cost and time); what's going on top, a single crown, a bridge spanning several teeth, or an implant-supported denture; and the complexity of your case overall. That's why two people can ask for "one implant" and get honestly different quotes.
How people pay for it
Dental benefits and annual limits vary by health plan. Elite Smiles accepts Sagicor, Guardian, and Canopy health cards at the office; bring your current card and photo ID so the team can confirm what applies. When clinically appropriate, a larger treatment plan may also be organized into stages so the highest priorities are addressed first.
Is it worth it?
An implant is the only replacement that preserves your jawbone, and with good care it can last decades, compared with roughly 7–12 years for a bridge and 5–7 for dentures. It costs more upfront; it's also the option you're least likely to pay for twice.
